Travel, shipping, frame and tax are not included.
A deposit of 40% is due in advance.
Balance due at completion of commission and acceptance by the client.
Mahto meets initially with a client to discuss clothing, pose, and client's expectations about the portrait. this
meeting can be at the artist's studio, client's home or office or some place mutually agreeable to client and artist. During the first meeting, Mahto will photograph the subject. when a sitting is not convenient, the client needs to provide Mahto with photographs. If client provides a photo, a signed release from photographer is required.
If Mahto takes photographs himself,, he will schedule a follow-up meeting for the client to approve the proofs.
This will give client and Mahto more time for discussion as to background, colors, etc.
One or more additional meetings may be scheduled. When meetings are not practical, photographs are mailed
to the client for approval. Following final approval, arrangements are made for delivery of the completed
portrait.
All copyrights on the finished artwork, plus the rights to display, reproduce photos and reference material this portrait/artwork are the property of Johnny Mahto Hogue. Your personal photos will be returned.
Be assured the support (canvas,paper, etc.) will be 100% archival.
I will help on the frame selection, if you wish.
Commissions usually take three to four months for completion.
